Galatea

Just what I wore around campus today! This dry fountain is in the forgotten courtyard of Davidson Hall, with a cracked woman made of stone.

I'm also pleased to say that this is the beautiful dress I have bought from I Do Declare, a soft sage creation of brushed cotton with a Victorian drop-waist and dusty rose velvet ribbon in the trim. It's really the materials that made me fall in love - the fabric is so soft, and the velvet touch is perfect. I can't wait for her to start sales! Here's also a shot of the ribbon embroidery I did a year or so ago and my manicure:

Such chunky ribbon! But the overall effect is sweet, I think. I'm inspired by the cardigans Chelle always wears on Mermaids and Flotsam. She's such a dear! And cardigans are a great item to transition from autumn into winter. Today it was a little cool for just sleeves, but of course too warm for my fur-trimmed coat. The perfect answer!
