Lolita Charm: Introducing...Misu!

Introducing...Misu!

So why has Lolita Charm been so on hold for the last few weeks? Time got lost between finals, my beautiful boy, and... a hairy surprise.

Are you sitting down?

This is Misu, my new Pomeranian puppy! Some fast facts: she is 12 weeks old, 1.8 lbs, 'beaver' colored (meaning orange and light chocolate), and gets into everything. Her name, Misu, is short for Tiramisu, the Italian dessert - which translates as 'pick-me-up'.

As a child I had a family dog, a pretty cocker spaniel all-American mutt, but this is my first time doing all of the raising and training. It is exhausting! She is queen of chewing, temper tantrums (which sound like a parakeet being tortured), and seems to think her name is, 'What are you eating?!'

For scale here she is next to the infamous Angelic Pretty bear. She's actually a little scared of it! When I put it down, she sat next to it, then sat a foot away. When I put it next to her again for a photo, she sat another foot away. She looks a little unsure in this photo! And no wonder - the bear sits a full three inches taller than she does!

But nothing is cuter than a pretty baby asleep, right? Here she's snuggled into her kennel with my pink shirt, aptly printed with 'Who is the cutest in the land?' Unanimously Misu ;)

Hopefully with the help of her auntie Miss Lumpy we'll have a little Charm Channel episode for her up this week, so keep your eyes peeled for more Misu!
And as said in the last post, if you attend Kinokuniya's International Lolita Day in New York City, you can meet the fluffball herself :) This little diamond dog loves attention and new people and was made for Manhattan - so see you there!

@Elaine Bleu: We've been told to introduce her to the city as soon as possible, but if we do decide it is too stressful we'll arrange for a babysitter (family member) that day. But thanks for your concern :)

Wow, so cute!
And what a coincidence, I also have a new dog member in my family! Mine is a cute little chihuahua named Lola (Lolita for me, hehe).

Tiramisu is a LOVELY name, by the way! Really liked it! (L)

yaaaay pomps! I'm a total Pomeranian addict I have four! XD

poms are such loyal little animals, be prepared to have a friend for life. usually they get so incredibly attached to their owners that they follow them everywhere (and i mean *everywhere*!) throw temper tantrums when they can't see you and wait impatiently when you leave the house.

last year i went on a 3 day trip and had my neighbor look after my dogs and she called me a day later incredibly concerned that my oldest nine year old pom would not move from the front of the door, even refusing to eat. she didn't move from there or eat till i came back and the second i came home and she greeted me she ran to her food bowl and ate four bowls lol

when I was a kid playing hide and seek with my pom was my favorite game. she's so attached to me that when I disappeared she'd look all over the house for me, it was so much fun XD (still is lol)

OK I'll stop talking now haha good luck with your new baby I hope he makes a few more appearances here :D
