The Nutcracker Ballet

This Saturday I went to see the Woodbury Ballet perform the Nutcracker at the Palace Theatre. Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer and I grew up listening to the Nutcracker or watching it on video cassette (blast from the past - VHS?!) so this ballet has a special place in my heart. Of course I decided to dress up, with the theme of Land of Sweets!

Please excuse my usually mori-girl boots, we were expecting two feet of snow that evening!

Skirt, bustier: BABY the Stars Shine Bright
Blouse: Angelic Pretty
Boots: London Fog
Pony Purse: Pink Macaroon!
Hairbow: 6% dokidoki
Tights: Marshall's

And finally, photos wearing my Shirley Temple mermaid onepiece! This is a favorite of mine, it's cute and yet easily casual.

The mirror smears are lip prints with glittery gloss, which as a little girl my sister told me was some kind of divination. I'm still not sure what they tell me...

Dress: Shirley Temple
Pink pearls: a present!
Hairbow: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Tights: Marshall's
Shoes: Kohl's

And yes, there is a second loop on the other side of my head!

I love the Nutcracker. I used to go all the time growing up. It's one of my favorite stories <3

My my, you look so adorable!
I do love the Nutcracker. I went to go see Giselle as a gift to myself. It was a wonderful experience as it was my first ballet! I plan to go see Swan Lake next year~
