The Beach in Winter

a picture of myself with Arianna of Baking Life Sweeter!

On Monday, the Connecticut Lolitas spent a little Valentine's time together! We began with photos as the beach, and then progressed to sharing delicious Indian desserts like rose-flavored ice cream and a special rice pudding called kheer. Then we rounded off the evening with Apples to Apples, a silly card game made sillier by Lolita players!

Unfortunately, there are no photos of my full outfit without my coat on, because the beach was very cold as the sun went down! We stayed until it was nearly dark, and used the floodlights of cars when the light went!

A headshot taken later that evening as we relaxed around the dining table and heart-shaped vegan cheesecakes and a box of Valentine's chocolates! My favorites, molasses and fruit chews!

What did you do to celebrate Valentine's Day?

My wife and I went for tea, music, and a tour about secrets in the Victorian era at a local preserved mansion for valentines. She dressed in gothic neovictorian, and I wore kodona. Sadly, somehow the local group didn't have a valentines activity this year, probabaly because of the 4-loli birthday party already planned for next week.

Incedentally, your "Baking Life Sweeter" link is broken, on the side there.

I hosted a local meetup, actually. :D

We first saw the Ocsar-nominated animated short films at a fancy, old-fashioned local theatre, then we met up with a few others lolis at a pan-asian restaurant, had dinner (and a party in the bathrooms - those things are crazy!) and did a gift exchange. One of the girls and her boyfriend had to leave, but then the rest of us walked around and looked at art galleries, since every second Saturday of the month all of the galleries stay open late and it is a huge event.

It was a very long day, but a lot of fun. It was only my second meetup (!), but I really like all of the local girls. :D I think that this was quite possibly the best Valentine's ever.

No, there hasn't been a meetup post done yet. I can hardly use LJ, so there is no way I would be able to do it, so I have been trying to get other girls to do it for me. I didn't take many pictures, either.

I'm from Sacramento, which is about 2.5 hours east of San Francisco. :D Northern California, USA.
